2020 UDGA Youth Show Information

This will be a two ring show with Senior and Junior does sanctioned separately by ADGA open to all 4-H, FFA and ADGA youth. ADGA rules shall govern. Please also see accompanying Utah Junior Livestock Rules.

Entries post marked by August 1st, 2020 will be $5.00 per head per family per ring.
Entries post marked after August 1st to show date will be charged $6.00 per head
Any questions or disputes will be addressed to the show chairperson or Secretary with the Chairperson making the final decision. All fees must accompany the entry form. Please call with questions.
No Free Sanctioned animals. If you are asked by the show committee to bring a goat for sanctioning purposes, you will get the original discount fee.
Entry fees are non-refundable or transferable under any circumstance.

Pen Fees: 6x6 Pen fees will be $6 per pen per weekend. Please pay with open show entries. If you do not plan on attending it, then pay with youth entry. Animals must be penned in provided pens or inside trailers. No penning animals on grass or parking lot.
Check in: 7:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. August 14th
Early Check in: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. August 13th
Showmanship: Showmanship will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. splitting between the two rings as listed below. (please see rules for dress code.) Senior doe show to start immediately following but not before 10 am.
Ring 1: Senior 1, and Intermediate
Ring 2: Senior 2, Juniors, and Peewee showmanship
All youth must be entered into a showmanship class. They can use any goat of their choosing even wethers. There will also be a peewee class added for those siblings that aren't old enough to participate in the youth show. This class will be for children under the age of 8 as of January 1st 2019. If you have a peewee showman, please list their names in the box provided on the entry form.
Clipping: All animals are not required to be clipped but it is recommended that they are.
Milk Out: There is not a mandatory milk out, but over uddering of your does will be discriminated against.
Base date: August 14th, 2020
Arrival Times: For those of you traveling a distance and staying the evening before the show, pens will be available the afternoon of the 13th at 5:00 p.m.
Bedding: Shavings will be available at the fairground at a first come first serve basis at $8.00 a bag. You are also welcome to bring your own. The fairgrounds doesn’t allow straw, so all bedding must be shavings.
Lodging: Camping spaces are available at the fair grounds. Reservations can be made below, or by emailing email@example.com
There are also several hotels in the area that will be available.
Junior and Senior does will be separately sanctioned.

Show Order subject to be changed at the discretion of the show committee.
All effort to prevent over or under uddering will be considered if the show order is changed.
Breeds Codes: L - LaMancha, ND - Nigerian Dwarf, N- Nubian, R -Recorded Grade, & AOP - All Other Purebreds. Please indicate class number and breed codes on entries.
Senior Doe Show:
(Any doe that has freshened or is currently in milk.)
Class 1 --- Senior does under 2 years old in milk
Class 2 --- Senior does 2 years and under 3 years old
Class 3 --- Senior does 3 years and under 4 years old
Class 4 --- Senior does 4 years and under 5 years old
Class 5 --- Senior does 5 years and under 6 years old
Class 6 --- Senior does 6 years & over
Class C --- Champion Challenge - LaManchas, Nigerians, and Nubians only
Senior Grand Champion

Best Udder of Breed

COVID 19 Special Changes
* All exhibitors will be required to wear masks while checking in and while in the ring. Masks will be available at the show.
* Please make an effort to follow recommended social distancing guidelines.
* All exhibitors with symptoms are asked to not come. Please be prudent and protect yourself and fellow exhibitors.
* A symptom check and release waiver will be required upon registration.
